Prepare In Advance With SITETOTE
Take your snow and ice management to a higher level. Transition from a reactive system of
dispatching salt trucks to a prepared system of having materials on-site, ready to go.
Material can be spread directly from the SiteTotes using the hydraulic spreader by
Virnig that utilizes a standard skid loader quick-attach coupler.
Use On-Site Equipment
Stop paying valuable staff during snow and ice events to drive trucks on the road.
Keep staff focused on-site during snow and ice events and not challenged with driving salt around in trucks.
Unlike a truck that has to return to a salt shed to empty unused material following each event,
SiteTotes can be taken from and refilled as needed, eliminating this wasteful step.
Staffing Efficiency
Utilize plowing staff for salt events, minimizing the number of staff that need to be hired for winter operations.
Qualify more employees to assist your snow operations by drawing staff near
to your service locations and not having to list them as commercial drivers on insurance.
Better Response Times
Staff reports directly to the site.
Expand your Service Area
Throw away geographic limits by being prepared for the next event on-site.
Easy Exchange/Refill
Exchange or refill SiteTotes between snow events.
SiteTotes offer a low fill height and can be filled with a standard skid loader bucket, from a
large V-box spreader with swing-away or removable chute, or from a medium-duty dump truck.
Use Less Salt
Use the age-old unit of measure by giving staff SiteTote budgets per application.
No fancy, high-maintenance, expensive electronic devices that go out of calibration and often require replacement.
Even Spread
Low dual variable speed spinners offer an even spread and the ability to cast material under parked vehicles and trailers.
Product Organization
Switch between specified products on-site by stocking SiteTotes with the required materials, all while being able to use the same spreader. Parking structures, brick pavers, helicopter pads, to general parking and driving areas.
Maneuverability
Spread salt down tight aisles, between parked vehicles, and hard to get to areas.
Switch Between Plowing and Spreading
No need to call in or wait for a truck.
Eliminate Frustrating Salt Piles
No more unsightly, dangerous, hard-to-use snow and ice-covered tarps draping your salt piles on-site.
Environmentally Friendly
A best practice approach to storing products on-site.
Flexibility
The SiteTote system allows for quick adaptation to those customers who sign
on late or mid-season. No need to try and build an expensive truck last minute.
Low Cost, Low Maintenance!
No Wiring or Cab Controller Required
The spreader operates solely off the standard hydraulic auxiliary couplers of a skid loader
or compact wheel loader. Any machine can operate the spreader at any time.
Coverage Per Tote
Each tote has a capacity of 1,600 pounds or .8 ton of rock salt. A single tote will cover approximately
228,000 sq ft or 5.2 acres. This is using a recommended average application rate of 7lbs/1,000 sq ft applied.
